American Friends of Lafayette

Vive Lafayette!

American Friends of Lafayette envisioned an ambitious digital commemoration: mapping Lafayette’s entire 18-month journey across America following the Revolutionary War, featuring daily events, historical context, and community engagement across the country.

We built lafayette200.org (now afl250.org) from the ground up, managing a complex project with stakeholders nationwide.

The site features:

  • an interactive map tracing Lafayette’s route
  • a comprehensive event calendar showcasing programming across 18 months
  • a curated music repository
  • custom graphics and visuals that bring the historical narrative to life
  • and resources for local affiliates

We also collaborated with communities across the country to produce traveling exhibits on Lafayette’s life and his influence in their specific regions.

As their ongoing digital partner, we provide website maintenance and content management support, ensuring the platform remains current while empowering the AFL team to manage updates independently.
